2016 Programme Information
At Toronto Sailing & Canoe Club we offer Toronto's Best Learn-to-Sailing programs for youth ages 6 to 17 Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm starting June 27 to August 26. TS&CC is an accredited National Training Centre for Sail Canada and Ontario Sailing athletes. The Wet Feet program is available in one week blocks. The CANSail 1 - 2 programs are available in both one and two week blocks and the CANSail 3 - 4 program is available in two week blocks. The Development and Optimist Race Team programs are available in a one month block.
We offer an optional hot Lunch program and Early Drop Off program starting at 7:30am and Late Pick Up until 6:00pm.
Club membership is not required to participate in our programs.
Toronto Sailing & Canoe Club is able to help the whole family learn to sail in a friendly family-oriented atmosphere.

Wet Feet Program
The Wet Feet program is designed for children 6 to 8 years old, no sailing experience is required to enroll. We introduce your children to sailing in a fun and safe environment in our sheltered, protected harbour. The program begins with two children per boat and work towards sailing a boat themselves. The course includes an introduction to sailing and boat handling skills. Our trained and certified instructors are chosen for their exceptional skills working with children. The program builds friendships, confidence and self-esteem. The Wet Feet program is available in one week blocks.

CanSail 1 & 2
The CanSail 1 & 2 course is offer in one and two week sessions and are designed for youth from 9 to 17 years old, no sailing experience is required to enroll in this program. Students are divided into appropriate age and skill level groups within the program. The curriculum is based on Sail Canada standards and students have the opportunity to earn nationally recognized certificates for each level by demonstrating skills learned in the program. The CANSail 1 & 2 program is available in both one and two week blocks.

CanSail 3 & 4
The CanSail 3 & 4 programs are designed for youth from 10 to 17 years old who have completed their CanSail 2 or CANSail 3 level. Students learn advanced sailing skills and an introduction to racing in our fleet of 420's in two week sessions..
Optimist Racing Program
The Optimist Racing program is designed for youth from 10 to 15 years old who have achieved the CanSail 2 level. Included in the program cost is the use of a Vanguard Racing Class Optimist dinghy. Students learn racing rules and tactics while advancing their racing and sailing skills. Sessions are one month each and include a minimum of one regatta per month .
Optimist and 420 Development Race Team
One Month Cost: $1100.00 HST Included
420 Development Race Team
The new 420 Development Race Team is for students who have achieved their CANSail 4 level and want to achieve CANSail 5 sailing a club 420. Students participating in the 420 Development Race Team will compete in one local regatta per month. Parents may be asked to provide transportation for athletes and boats to and from these local regattas. Regatta expenses are not included in the program fee, parents pay regatta fees, food and any other personal expenses.
One Month Cost: $1100.00 HST Included
