Racing OPPORTUNities

Why race and how to get started

Racing is a great way to spend more time on the water, improve your sailing skills, and get to know fellow sailors from TS&CC and other clubs.

We have an active club racing program, and many current racers are happy to help new participants get started. All members can participate – whether racing their own boats or crewing for others. No experience is necessary and all events are free.

To learn more about racing you can:

Regular races

    • Tuesday Night Race Series. Run by the Boulevard Club weekly from late May to mid-September, open to TS&CC members.
    • Thursday Night Race Series. Run by TS&CC weekly from late May to mid-September, open to Boulevard Club members.
    • Women’s Helm Race Series. Held on select Thursday race nights. Teams of any composition can compete in Thursday races, but to be scored in the Women's Helm event a boat's skipper and at least half its crew must be women.
    • Ahmen Race Series. Eight races on weekend days throughout the season, co-hosted by clubs around Humber Bay.

Annual races

    • Bark at the Moon Race. A night race in early June, open to sailors and paddlers.
    • See the Island Race. A fun late July event followed by a barbecue.

Please see the TS&CC calendar for the dates of specific races, as well as event details.

Our club is near the foot of Dowling Avenue, on the water's edge between Argonaut Rowing Club and the Boulevard Club. To park, turn south onto Net Drive from Lake Shore.
